An opening title sequence for the surrealist horror musical-comedy show Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
The show follows three puppets who learn a new lesson each day which later descends into chaos.
Concept
The show incorporates puppetry, traditional animation, stop motion, claymation, and other forms of visual production throughout each episode. Throughout my sequence, I wanted to create a chaotic atmosphere with the mediums. I used a combination of felt textures, vectors, and compositing. The compositions blend a handmade feel with smooth animation through varying frame rates.
